It’s only a month into school, and I don’t know about you but my motivation gets lower by the day. Sure it is exciting to do a full face of makeup, but who has time for that before school? I need to get every last drop of sleep possible! Here is a quick makeup look that is perfect for school days or when you're running late.
First, start out with a light coverage foundation or BB cream. One of my favorites is the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation. It blends out great and is super smooth on the face. It covers redness but is a little rough with covering under eye darkness.
Next, conceal under eyes and blemishes. My favorite concealer is another Maybelline product, their Fit Me concealer. It has great coverage, is super creamy, and brightens up the area. Make sure to set your face with a translucent powder to prevent oily skin.
After concealing and setting my face, I apply highlighter. Just use a fan brush to apply it to the highest points of your cheeks. If you don’t have highlighter, a sparkly white or gold base eyeshadow will do the trick. Remember, a little goes a long way!
Eyebrows are the focal point of the face. To keep the look quick, comb out your brows using a spooly brush. A great way to keep them in place is to use a clear mascara over top. Don’t have clear mascara? Hairspray on an old toothbrush does the job!
Lastly, make the lashes pop. All you'll need is a quick coat of a volumizing mascara to make your eyelashes poppin'. My favorite mascara is They're Real Mascara by Benefit. They give you natural long eyelashes and never clump. Then, add some chapstick or peachy gloss, and you have a pretty and natural look under 5 minutes!
