The Perfect Snow Day
Stephanie Anderson, Sophomore

With winter comes bitter weather and as many students hope, snow days. On freezing cold snow days, the best thing to do is stay inside and keep warm and cozy. Here are some fun activities you can do to make the most of your snow day (if you're not sleeping).

Building a fort is a classic go-to for a dreary winter day. You can use pretty blankets, pillows, and christmas lights to make it as comfy as it can be. Building a fort is an easy and fun thing to do with a friend, when you want to stay warm and dry.

Watching a movie marathon is another great way to spend your snow day. You can use Netflix or Amazon Instant Video to relax and spend the day watching your favorite movies curled up under a blanket. If you have neither, I recommend signing up for a free month trial and making use of it during the cold winter days. You can also make a cup of hot cocoa or tea to keep extra warm and toasty.

If you're feeling creative, starting a scrapbook or a journal is a great way to spend your snow day. By making a scrapbook, you can keep record of the memories you make and look back on them years from now. By starting a journal, you can record your life and several years from now, read the passages you wrote and remember all of the things you experienced.

One last enjoyable activity to do on a snow day is listening to music. Whether you're jamming out to old songs that you know all the words to or you're finding new music to listen to, listening to music can be very healthy and calming when you want to relax.
