Valentine’s Day is coming up soon. For those of you single ladies, you probably could do without this holiday. But, Valentine’s Day doesn’t always have to be romantic. You and your girl friends can use this day to show how much you appreciate each other.
Making the typical dreaded holiday into a day with the gals could always include a spa night. Gather up your closest friends and a bunch of spa supplies: nail polish, face and hair masks, body scrubs, and gel eye masks. It's always good to treat yourself but even better when you and all your friends pamper yourselves together. A super simple DIY face mask is egg white, lemon juice, and a little bit of white sugar for exfoliation. If you have sensitive skin, a DIY face mask that I always find myself using is baking soda and water. Combine the two into a liquidy paste and leave it on until it gets crusty. These DIY face masks will keep your wallet full and will leave your skin feeling bright and fresh.
Being able to stay in with all your gals and watch all your favorite lovey dovey movies sounds like the perfect night. I could never turn down to seeing my boys: Leonardo Dicaprio, Ryan Gosling, Channing Tatum, and Jamie Dornan. Gather up the chick flicks, popcorn, and candy. You can never go wrong with movies and salty treats. To spice up the popcorn, you can make a popcorn trail mix. Have individual bags and separate bowls filled with M&M’s, nuts, and any of your other favorite toppings. Another variety is laying the popcorn out on baking trays. Drizzle some melted milk chocolate over it, and pop it in the fridge until it hardens. Now you have the perfect salty sweet treat for the girls.
Having a baking party with all your friends sounds pretty typical, but there are a ton of Valentine’s Day recipes out there. Cute little heart shaped sugar cookies and cupcakes with pink icing are just a few of comfort foods you can make. Never forget the Valentine’s Day sprinkles on top to add that dash of love! There are so many exciting things to do with your girlfriends on “Galentine’s Day.” Maybe being single isn’t so bad after all.
