Getting Fit in Fashion

Natalie Hakim, Sophomore

We’re all working on getting those beach bodies, so why not be fashionable while doing it? Working out can be pretty brutal, especially if you’re right in the middle of your favorite Netflix show, but buying new fitness attire can make you a little bit more motivated and confident as you take on those miles (BTW, movie marathons on Netflix doesn't count as exercise!).

Colorful Jackets

Lululemon is all the rage right now, but the prices of their clothing are not so hot. Their define jackets (which are beautiful) are over $100, and a lot of us aren’t going to extremes for an athletic jacket. Brands like Under Armour and Nike have similar jackets at a fraction of the price, and you can even find some good athletic gear at Marshalls.

Fun Shorts and Leggings

Companies like Nike are starting to make super cute patterned workout pants, opposed to more traditional, solid-colored ones. I love the prints and think they’re more different and its a newer look. I’ve seen a lot at Marshalls and Forever 21 as well.

Sneakers

The best part of the outfit, in my opinion. There are so many cute sneakers out right now that are perfect for summer and spring. I personally love Nike free runs, and they come in so many colors and prints.
