Valentine's Day is coming up and I cannot wait to spend it with my true love-- my shoes. They look good and they make me look good. The problem is deciding which one to take out: the pair that makes me look sophisticated? or how about the ones that make me look like I tried? It's so hard; I just love them all. If you think that Valentine's Day is for relationships, well... it is. But not just guys! Shoes too. And chocolate. So I think that we should all take a moment to write a lovely letter to our shoes. I mean they do carry all our weight... literally.
Dear Gray Vans,
I remember the first time I saw you.
I was back to school shopping when I went into the Vans store. There were so many choices, but you were the only one for me. I know you might have felt like the rebound, since before you, there was another. While that was true at first, but you are so much more now. You are my everyday shoes. I can wear anything and you pull that look together. You make my outfits look cute and comfortable.
You go with everything. You are my everything.
Love your dearest,
Dear Vince Camuto Boots,
We've been together for a year now and you have yet to disappoint me. You are the best thing my mom's wallet-- I mean, fate, has ever brought into my life. Upon seeing you there in Macy's, I knew it was meant to be. I remember begging my mother for us to be together forever, and she said yes. When I wear you, you bring out the best in me. You're there when I just wake up and throw things on, but you keep my secret. I love you to the moon and back.
Dear Bow-Tied Heels,
I was miserable before I met you. I was in White House Black Market with my mom, having the worst time ever. Then I laid my eyes on you and it was love at first sight. First off, you make my calves look amazing. I am so comfortable in you, which is hard to find these days. You bring sophistication into my life and you quite literally lift me up; when I'm with you my height goes from 5'4" to 5'8". I love you so much that you leave me speechless.
