Cover Girl Mascara Blooming (in my makeup bag) This Spring

Rosa Amato, Sophomore

Spring is approaching (despite what the pesky groundhog said), so I figured it was time for some spring cleaning: makeup addition. I listened to Liz’s advice and decided it was time to go through my thousands of mascaras. I threw away the dried up, clumpy, and bad ones, and throughout the process, I came across a new one that I recently bought but never opened.

Cover Girl’s Full Lash Bloom mascara. It premiered in November, and I remember only purchasing this one for the adorable floral pink packaging and because Katy Perry was the spokesperson. All that aside, I was stoked to try it.

One day, 6:30 am getting ready for school, I decided to open up this bad boy and try it out.

First thing I noticed when I opened the tube was the formula. I felt that it was a wetter consistency than the other Cover Girl mascaras. I really liked how it defined my lashes. They didn't get all spidery-looking,  just like really nice eyelashes. I also loved how after I applied the first coat I could apply another, without my lashes getting all clumped up.

I would definitely say that, like the Cover Girl LashBlast Volume Mascara, this one gives your lashes great volume and the clump crusher helps to avoid a clumpy, messy look. This mascara gives great “blooming,” or definition, to your lashes as well. The name doesn’t lie.

In all, Full Lash Bloom Mascara is a great drugstore mascara and could become one of your new favorites. You can never have too many mascaras lying around.
